This is my first time in this place, and i have eaten at Japanese cuisine here in the US & Japan (working for panasonic) i must say that i am not impress with their menu! First, i had the shumai it tasted like it was frozen! Then i had their version of the yakitori beef, that too tasted frozen (the beef like a rock), then for entree i ordered the nabeyaki udon, i was DISAPPOINTED!!! It didn't look and tasted like an authentic Japanese cuisine! I also ordered some nigiri of tuna & salmon, the sushi rice has little to no flavor. This place has no clue what Japanese cuisine should taste like. Maybe this place appeal to people who have not been exposed to authentic Japanese cuisine, to label this place a Japanese Restaurant so that they can charge more for their food is insane!!! Get educated on a real Japanese Cuisine!!!

This place is amazing! They did a beautiful job in renovating the space. It's absolutely gorgeous. The sushi and rolls are incredible and the service is outstanding. We sat at the counter and one of the owners gave us free samples of some of his creations that were to die for! The owner also owns Tomo in Sharpsburg which I've had lunch there many times and never a bad experience. Overall our dining experience was wonderful!

Best Sushi and Sashimi in the PTC area! Great atmosphere and wonderful service. Love the Bento boxes!

Just being honest here. My family was very disappointed with the food that we ordered. Shrimp fried rice was swimming with oil. Shumai and gyoza tasted like the frozen ones you can buy at the Asian markets. Hibachi dinner wasn't worth the price. Beef skewers were like chewing gums. Sushi/nigiri tastes like thawed fishes and rice was undercooked. My son didn't like even the miso soup. Nabeyaki Udon was so bland. But I can give a thumbs up on the modern style of the place even if its so dark... The owners were nice and service was ok too.

We've tried several sushi joints in the peachtree city area and this place has been the best by far. The service was a little slow but it was busy. The staff was very nice and the food was great.

Ichiban or "itchy buns" as my boyfriend likes to call it is wonderful! Decently priced upscale restaurant with a relaxing environment and wonderful sushi! For an appetizer I recommend the calamari, and as for specialty rolls I recommend the rock and roll or the peachtree city roll.

Wow the food is delicious! I'm not surprised though being that the owners own Tomo in sharpsburg. It was amazing. So fresh excellent staffing beautiful place. They did a wonderful job on this one. I will be back again. New hot spot!!!

Loved the food! We enjoyed the Ichaban Roll and the PTC roll as well as the Filet Mignon Hibachi. Service was fast and courteous. Scott is the owner and he's awesome!

This place was fantastic! You could taste the freshness. I ordered a combo dinner that gave me 3 different types of sushi rolls and they were all great and came with a salad for $15. The wait staff was great. You could tell that they valued our business. We have been to other sushi places in the area but this is by far the best so far. I would give it a try and you won't be disappointed.

Absolutely amazing! Food was fantastic! Highly recommend the bento box for dinner. Came here New Years Eve and the service was quick, informative and very attentive. New favorite! Highly recommend!

Best sushi in Peachtree city! This is a new place with the great atmosphere. I really like the appetizers, especially the yellowtail jalapeno. I also like the spicy tuna on the Pringles chips! The rolls are pretty good & the sashimi is very fresh with larger pieces than usual. The prices are also very reasonable. Will be a regular here for sure.

Known the owner for most of my life and each of his restaurants had never failed to disappoint. Ichiban is more of an upscale Asian cuisine with outstanding sushi and hot meals. The hibachi never fails to amaze me either. Congrats to Scott on another success

Love love love! Always get great service. The owner is so nice and always around, and he decorated impeccably. Great sushi for a great price.

ICHIBAN is the only place to really go for sushi in Peachtree City. If you're a Cali native looking for a "local" sushi fix - this is probably it. Their spicy tuna cut roll is good, miso soup and edamame are good. Some of their recipes and rolls are decidedly "Georgia" versions but the locals seem to like those options. The atmosphere is CLEAN (so important), decor is warm, contemporary and the staff is attentive, efficient and polite. An excellent addition to Braelinn Village.

Went here last night with a few friends from work. We decided to come here and give it a try. Unfortunately! This place does NOT come close to being a JAPANESE restaurant. We ordered their octopus sunomono, the octopus was chewy and tasted funny & the sauce was very watery. Then we ordered the sashimi supreme, the fish was not great, the tuna tasted frozen & water down. My friend ordered chicken fried rice, the rice was drowning in oil! Then I ordered their nabeyaki udon, being from japan. I never seen a nabeyaki udon served with fried egg. Lastly, we ordered some rolls (monster roll & Phoenix roll) i don't understand why they put so much sauce, all we tasted was the sauce and not much of the roll! It's sushi and it's suppose to be simple and clean, And NOT overwhelmed with sauces! ã“ã®å ´æ‰€ã¯å…¨ã良ãã‚ã‚Šã¾ã›ã‚“。食å“ãŒæ‚ªã„味ã‚ã£ãŸï¼éšã¯æ–°é®®ã§ã¯ãªã‹ã£ãŸã€‚ãã‚ŒãŒå‡çµã•ã‚ŒãŸå‘³ã‚ã£ãŸï¼I would not recommend this place with my co-workers & friends!!! ã“ã“ã«æ¥ã‚‹ãŸã‚ã«æ™‚é–“ã¨ãŠé‡‘ã®ä¾¡å€¤ãŒãªã„

I've been there several times and have had exceptional meals every time. Service is prompt and courteous. I found the sushi always fresh and the meals beautifully served. So glad they are there. Plan to go there often.

Great new restaurant in PTC!! Met the owner at China Bistro another favorite owned by his parents. Now I have two favorites in PTC. Had soup, Salad and Sushi all were delicious. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu.
(5)Lee H.
The food was generally very good but a little disappointing because it was kind of cold. I rated it 4 stars because my 6yr. old loved his sushi and was insistent I rate it 5 stars. Four was our compromise. The service was very good and we will definitely come again.

Great addition to the Braelinn Village Shopping Center. One of the owners, Scott, is local and he said there will be a grand opening in January, Lunch menu from 11AM-3PM. We went early afternoon, after lunch hour. The portions were very good sized and both meals were delicious. Veggies and shrimp were fresh as can be, and the service was very attentive. Only suggestion, place a knife to go with with napkin and fork on place setting. Lunch specials start at $6.99, up to $16.99. Kid's menu, too. Well behaved kids only, please, and try to leave the babies home. Had one screaming next to us for the first part of our visit and it was not pleasant. We had the Vegetable Hibatchi and the Shrimp Bento Box. The presentation of the Bento Box is a true feast for your eyes (and stomach, of course!). Hibatchi was just right, and the fried rice was very subtle, not a strong Chinese fried rice flavor. Give it a try. We will go back. The take home menu, has a 10% off coupon on the back. Hint: If you have room for a light dessert, go right next door for TCBY!

This is such a wonderful addition to Peachtree City! My husband and I are there almost every week. The food and service are outstanding. The owner is friendly and truly makes you feel welcome. It is one of my favorite places to take clients. Simply an A++

The food is amazing. We eat here for lunch every Monday and have never been disappointed. The staff are friendly and even remember our individual orders. Maybe we are predictable but either way the personalized service is awesome. The seafood foto maki roll is my favorite. Good choice!

There is nothing within several tens of miles that comes close to the quality of food available at Ichiban. I could claim to be surprised that such a restaurant could exist in Peachtree City, but having had the food at China Bistro which was also run by owner Scott, I am not in anyway surprised that this new restaurant is excellent. The miso soup is delicious, the udon noodles are top notch, the nigiri is awesome; but more importantly, just like at China Bistro, owner Scott shows that some of the most delicious and genuinely surprising items on the menu are ones that are creatively inspired, and ones that defy all sensible conventions. My mom introduced me to sushi when I was 12 years old, and we were both huge fans of Scott's old Chinese restaurant. (Read my older reviews to see what I had to say about China Bistro) When my mom called me and told me that Scott had come up with an amazing appetizer that involved sushi and a Pringle I was incredulous. I remember thinking, "how on Earth could a subtle, soft, fragrant piece of sushi be in anyway complimented by something as lowly as a Pringle chip?" The idea seemed too ludicrous to possibly be true. However, knowing that the owner has never put a bad dish on his menu at his previous restaurant, I made sure to bring two friends when I finally tried the place for myself. We made sure to order the Treasure Island, because my mom had raved about it so much, and low and behold it was honestly one of the single most interesting and delicious things I've ever eaten. It's seriously shockingly good. If you think you're some kind of food snob or purist who wouldn't dare eat such a thing, I can assure you, that you need to set your pretensions aside. This simple appetizer will send the minds of even the most jaded foodies into geostationary orbit. The Pringle adds a crispy texture to softness of the generous proportion of fish, that is so beautifully balanced it might very well be the perfect sushi item to introduce non-sushi eaters to the food. I've eaten at $100 a plate sushi places in New York. I actively seek out honest, original and high quality sushi joints. What makes Ichiban great isn't just the cool and atmospheric ambiance of the restaurant, it's the combination of authenticity and a daring willingness to experiment with established ideals when it comes to Japanese cuisine. Ichiban can offer delicious and traditional Japanese dishes, but just like at Scott's old Chinese restaurant (China Bistro), where Ichiban really elevates itself to something special, and into sublime and surprising excellence is when you try the experiments that play and attempt to elevate culinary traditions. If you live in this town you need to eat here. If you live elsewhere, the experience is worth the drive.

Great assortment of sushi rolls and special rolls...too new to have nightly chef specials because still working the actual menu. Creative presentation really stimulates the visual senses to make the eating part a total pleasure when it actually tasteless tasteless as it looks. Great service...didnt notice any of the usual new place kinks. Nice atomosphere....subtle and elegant. Wish they would claim their page on facebook or brig up a website to get to their menu. There are two facebook pages...none of which were created by the business. Both havr posts from.local patrons and pictures. One links to a chain of Ichiban restaurants in Pennsylvania.

After all the rave reviews I really thought we were in for a treat tonight. Service - The hostess couldn't figure out where to seat us and hovered between two tables. Put down the menus at one and blocked the seats as she was seemingly distracted by something out the window. Once she moved after an awkward minute we were seated and the server came. Orders were taken and the food took a while to come. I would wager a bit over 30 minutes. Which wouldn't be such an annoyance but a couple that came after us was served and out before we were. Food - We had the Peachtree City roll, a Philly and a California roll. Nothing spectacular. It was very nicely presented but all for naught as the flavors were one dimensional. There are several other sushi places in Peachtree City (Green Ginger, Stix) that surpass flavor in what we were served tonight. We won't be back.

Ichiban is a phenomenal new addition to Peachtree City. I don't really know what I was expecting when I walked in as they don't have their sign up yet but walking in the door blew my mind. The atmosphere of this place is amazing. The sushi bar and the bar itself are incredible. The modern feel of the place is incredible. The people who work here are amazing. I'm enjoying my meal right now sitting here talking to the sushi chef and really enjoying my experience. This store is operated by the people who own Tomo and they brought their great food here. The sushi, no all the food here is amazing. I would definitely recommend coming in here. tl;dr Service: 10/10 Food 10/10 Atmosphere 10/10

Very disappointed after all the raving reviews I saw on "Life in the PTC Bubble" Facebook group. I've been eating sushi for over 10 years and I've even had some while visiting Japan and the Philippines. Here is my first Ichiban experience: My husband and I went here on a Tuesday at 6:00pm. We walked in and a hostess greeted us. She said there is a 15 minute wait. My husband and I said okay, as we looked around at all the empty seats and nobody seemed to be waiting around us. We thought that was weird and the hostess never offered an explanation. It has a modern atmosphere with low light. We stood there awkwardly for about 5 minutes and the hostess came back and offered to seat us at a table in front by the window. Great! As we were sitting there, we noticed they must be short staffed. My husband ordered Miso soup to start. It was weak... watered down miso. I started with a ginger salad and the ginger dressing was watered down too. Not much to taste. Pretty sure they sliced the tomatoes with a razor. I became annoyed because the server ran off after delivering our starters so we sat there without utensils for over 5 minutes. I finally flagged the hostess down for some chopsticks. I ordered the Alaska sushi roll and a tuna roll. Now, I know that sashimi is made with the best part of the fish, nigiri is made with second best part of fish and the rolls are made with third best part of the fish. The rolls I had were made with rubbery fish. It was just okay. My husband ordered sashimi and it came in a giant bowl of ice with shrubbery on the plate. Fancy! LOL A different server offered to refill my tea, finally. She took my glass of tea and walked all the way to the back of the restaurant and disappeared. She came back 5 minutes later. The sushi rolls were average price but the rest of the menu seemed rather high for the experience. Nothing stood out about this place except for maybe the shrubbery and lack of customer service and shortcuts with the quality of food. Better off going to Green Ginger or better, go to Goldfish in Atlanta.

The decor is spot on perfect. Modern, clean, great lighting and the booths were comfortable and private. The service was excellent. The owner, Scott, came by and was very gracious. The three of us enjoyed all the food we ordered. Miso soup was very good. The Maguro sushi was fresh and tasty. The wasabi was strong enough to give you that shot up the nose...just the way I like it. Every item in the Bento Box was flavorful. Presentation of all items was excellent. I was pleased that in addition to a good wine list there were several draft beers---not just bottles. All prices were very reasonable. This is a GREAT addition to the food scene in PTC. Check it out!

This was my first visit tonight. We will surely be back and soon. The atmosphere was sophisticated but modern. The food was excellent and the presentation was a work of art. Would be a great relaxing date night or comfortable enough to take the kids. The staff was kind and conscientious. I highly recommend this for an upscale lunch with friends or clients or a fabulous dinner night out. Go ahead and make plans to go! You won't be disappointed.
